Berliquet
Grand Cru Classé Saint-Emilion
A stone’s throw away from the village between Ausone and Angélus, Berliquet is one of the oldest Saint-Emilion vineyards. Nicolas Thienpont took over the chateau in 2008.
In 2017, the estate is purchased by Château Canon, which now manages it.
Terroir: shallow limestone-clay plateau over asteriated limestone, clay on western side from Fronsac molasses, supplemented with shelves of limestone-clay colluvial deposits and Aeolian sand
Area: 9 ha
Production: about 30 000 bottles
Grape varieties: 75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc
